In the village of Shenatagh, Syunik region, pediatrician Tatevik Shahyan has transformed her passion for healthy eating into a thriving rural enterprise. She founded “Lernachir”, a production facility specializing in fruit and vegetable chips and powders.
Today, Lernachir boasts a diverse product line: 17 types of vegetable chips, 8 types of fruit chips, 5 types of berry chips, and 9 types of natural powders.
The growth of Lernachir was significantly supported through partnerships with the ACBA Federation and Impact Hub, with Tatevik participating in a year-long series of training sessions, mentoring programs, and networking events, leading to a profound evolution in her business vision and strategy.
“We design our products to preserve maximum vitamin content. Children often refuse to eat fruits, but our powders offer a practical solution. By simply adding a small amount to meals, children can still benefit from essential vitamins,” explained Tatevik Shahyan, founder of Lernachir. “Through the ACBA Federation, we connected with Impact Hub, where we won second place and received financial support. Thanks to the ACBA Federation’s backing, we built a strong network with other entrepreneurs. ACBA Bank is truly ‘my bank’—I’ve always worked with them.”
Looking ahead, Lernachir plans to expand its production facility and convert part of the premises into a guesthouse, further contributing to the development of Shenatagh village.
Tatevik’s efforts embody the spirit of rural entrepreneurship—blending innovation, tradition, and a deep commitment to local development.
The ACBA Federation is the major shareholder of ACBA Bank, holding over 81% of its shares. Through this strategic position, the Federation actively contributes to the development of agriculture, the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises in rural areas, development of community, the revitalization of local economies, and the improvement of livelihoods for individuals engaged in entrepreneurial activities across Armenia’s rural communities.
