Under the auspices of ACBA Federation, a series of high-impact training programs were conducted to modernize farming practices and introduce sustainable technologies across Armenia.
Hosted at the Green Training Center in Dzoraghbyur and led by Dr. Nune Sarukhanyan, these sessions were designed to challenge traditional agricultural stereotypes. The curriculum centered on viewing agriculture through the lens of sustainability—prioritizing soil health, environmental preservation, and consumer safety. Throughout May and June, four intensive sessions were held for young farmers representing the regions of Lori, Tavush, Syunik, Vayots Dzor, Shirak, and Gegharkunik.
Innovative Technologies in Beekeeping: In collaboration with the "Beekeeping Forge" center and led by expert Tigran Sedrakyan, this course equipped beekeepers with modern skills in queen rearing and advanced disease management. Held in June, the sessions supported beekeeping communities across the Ararat, Aragatsotn, and Lori regions.
PEDIGREE CATTLE BREEDING: A newly launched initiative for this year, conducted in cooperation with KT-AGRO, focuses on elevating livestock quality in Armenia. Experts T. Chitchyan and K. Karapetyan provided detailed insights into the characteristics of local and newly imported breeds—including Schwyz, Montbéliarde, and Angus. The program highlighted yield potential, animal behavior, and the most efficient breeding methods tailored specifically for Armenia’s unique environmental conditions. Throughout May and June, 2 sessions were held for farmers representing the regions of Ararat, Kotayk, Gegharkunik, Shirak, Aragatsotn, and Armavir.
