From February 22 to 28, the ACBA Federation visited the annual International Agricultural Exhibition (Salon International de l`agriculture) in Paris, with the aim of getting acquainted with the agricultural successes, achievements and innovations of both France and various other countries. We were accompanied by the founder and director of VIPECO AM company Arayik Hakobyan, the president of the "Association of Seed and Planting Material Producers" NGO Ishkhan Hovsepyan, a large farmer, a member of the Gegharkunik Association of Agricultural Producers Council Edward Nalbandyan.

Meetings and discussions took place in various pavilions.

In the livestock pavilion, we met with the ROM Selection company, which breeds the French Blanche du Massif Central sheep breed, and talked about the opportunities and demand for this breed to spread in Armenia and import a large number of heads.

The visit was especially significant in terms of meetings with the "Association of Seed and Planting Material Producers" of Armenia and the French seed producers' association SEMAE, and taking the first steps in cooperation based on them. First, during the exhibition, based on the agreements made last year, we introduced both parties, then a few days later we had meetings with seed producers who are members of SEMAE, and after our return, we organized and held a webinar, which was attended by the ACBA Federation, SEMAE representatives, Ishkhan Hovsepyan, President of the "Association of Seed and Planting Material Producers", and representatives of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia: Head of the Plant Breeding Department Varsik Martirosyan and Director of the "Agricultural Research and Certification Center" SNCO David Babayan.
