Visit to Georgia-meetings with TELAGRI

Telagri is the marketplace where farmers connect with top specialists for online consultations.

The first meeting with the company's founder/CEO Irakli Chikava and co-founder/COO Valeri Amiranashvili was in Yerevan in December 2024, where they presented the company's main activities and usefulness in working with farmers.

During the second meeting, we already engaged several Armenian farmers who were interested in Telagri's services. Then, a pilot engagement marketplace was established with our farmers and cooperation was achieved. These works are still in progress.

On April 23, at the invitation of the Georgian side, we visited Georgia. We visited the center of the Georgian Agrarian University located in the Kartli region, which has large areas of land where endemic grape varieties, grain and fruit orchards are cultivated. The representative of the center presented their activities, how they use the Telagri service and what its effectiveness is. Information about the installed devices (weather forecasting stations, hygrometers and other receivers), how they work, how information is collected and transmitted to the Telagri system was presented in detail.

The meetings continued at Telagri’s office in Tbilisi. Here, the company’s employees presented the application, the procedure for registering farmers and agronomists, the steps for the farmer to submit a problem in the application, the provision of advice by the agronomist, as well as the implementation of payments, the evaluation of the service by farmers, and other features of the application.

There was also an interview with a representative of the cooperating bank, who presented how important Telagri’s service is for the bank in terms of monitoring, timely identification of problems, and mitigation of risks.

The meetings were held in a warm atmosphere, the discussions were open, and the companies expressed hope that the cooperation will be continuous.

After the tests in Armenia, the ways in which it will be possible to introduce Telagri’s services to a wider range of farmers will be selected.
